ZODIAC has been open since July 2020. Founded by Jade Phoenix Hoskins (Lady Phoenix) — Trans woman, entrepreneur, community builder. Five years of Trans Pride, drag cabaret, karaoke, and the kind of Saturday nights people still talk about. We're not closing. We're staying.
This isn't a rescue.
It's a reinforcement.
ZODIAC opened its permanent venue at 119 Hampstead Road on 5th November 2021. Through a pandemic. Through the collapse of LGBTQ+ nightlife across London — two thirds of queer venues gone since 2017. Through every financial pressure that forces independent venues like this to close. ZODIAC stayed.
In spring 2026, Jade asked her long-time friend and shareholder Simon Williams to step in operationally as Fractional CEO. Simon's background is 20+ years of digital leadership across 4 continents. He said yes. The sprint started 1st April 2026. The venue reopened stronger on 9th May 2026.
The petition to protect ZODIAC's community status has passed 19,000 views and gained support from Lorna Russell, leader of Camden Greens and Victoria McCloud, Britain's first transgender judge.
